Incredibly, the finished heart matched the immunological, cellular, biochemical and anatomical properties of the patient. Initial results, published in 2017, suggested cord blood transfusions could improve symptoms of autism and cerebral palsy and <strong><a style=\"color: #fff;\" href=\"https:\/\/cells4life.com\/cord-blood-banking-overview\/stem-cell-case-studies\/cord-blood-and-autism-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">some of our customers have even taken part<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In China, Guangdong Women and Children Hospital is set to complete a <a style=\"color: #fff;\" href=\"https:\/\/clinicaltrials.gov\/ct2\/show\/NCT03791372?term=cord+blood&amp;prcd_s=01%2F01%2F2020&amp;prcd_e=07%2F12%2F2022&amp;draw=2&amp;rank=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">study<\/a> into the clinical efficacy and safety of autologous umbilical cord blood transfusions for cerebral palsy as well as a study into <strong><a style=\"color: #fff;\" href=\"https:\/\/clinicaltrials.gov\/ct2\/show\/NCT03696745?term=cord+blood&amp;prcd_s=01%2F01%2F2020&amp;prcd_e=07%2F12%2F2022&amp;draw=2&amp;rank=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">treating premature babies<\/a><\/strong> with brain injuries using their cord blood stem cells. These studies each include around 200 patients, which means the results will give a good indication of how effective cord blood transplants can be.<\/p>\n<p>A large-scale study of 480 participants will start in 2020, comparing the effectiveness of bone marrow, adipose (fat), and cord tissue stem cells in <strong><a style=\"color: #fff;\" href=\"https:\/\/clinicaltrials.gov\/ct2\/show\/NCT03818737\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">treating knee osteoarthritis<\/a><\/strong>. The benefits of umbilical cord stem cells for osteoarthritis have been reported in a <strong><a style=\"color: #fff;\" href=\"https:\/\/cells4life.com\/2019\/12\/stem-cells-knee-osteoarthritis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">number of studies over the years<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally a study by NextCell Pharma will complete in 2020 that has been looking at the use of mesenchymal stem cells derived from the Wharton\u2019s Jelly in adults with <strong><a style=\"color: #fff;\" href=\"https:\/\/clinicaltrials.gov\/ct2\/show\/NCT03406585\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Type I Diabetes<\/a><\/strong>.
