Do I need a phlebotomist?

Depending on the hospital you are using, your collection could be performed by your consultant or you may require a specially trained phlebotomist (a person licensed to collect blood). There is an additional cost for a phlebotomy service of £300.

What service is best for my family?

The cost of cord blood banking will vary depending on the service you want. Most of our customers choose the Platinum service, which includes CellsPlus, giving them up to 2.2x more cells* than Cells, our standard processing method.

You can order your stem cell collection kit, request your consent forms and pay the initial deposit online, or contact our customer care team directly on 01444 873950. The whole process takes less than 30 minutes and your service will be set up immediately.

What is an Access Plan?

Everyone should be able to store their baby’s stem cells, which is why we don’t want cost to be a barrier when you are deciding if you will bank their cord blood, tissue, or more. Our Access Plans have been designed to make our cord blood banking even more affordable, with prices starting from as little as £550.

Can I keep my placenta after birth?

The simple answer is yes and there are a few options. Some will choose to consume it in pill form or in smoothies, and some keep it for personal reasons. You can also choose to privately store your placenta to keep the precious stem cells. It’s an incredibly useful organ during your pregnancy and can continue to be useful even after birth. Cells4Life can store this valuable resource for you as a safety net for your baby and family.

How much does it cost to save cord blood if I'm having twins or triplets?

You will have enough on your plate when your little ones arrive, so we wanted to let you know that double the babies does not mean double the costs. We offer a discount of 50% to additional children in a single pregnancy for our Cord Blood, Cord Tissue and Placenta services.

What is the cost of cord blood banking if I've stored with you before?

When you come back and use our stem cell storage services again, you will receive a reduction worth £150.

How much does it cost to bank cord blood as a group?

Many of our clients either have friends who are also pregnant or attend antenatal classes and the subject of stem cell storage is discussed. If three or more couples/parents wish to store their baby’s umbilical cord blood with us we will offer all three a group discount of £150 each.

This discount is subject to all three couples/parents signing up for the Cells4Life service at the same time.
