1 in 400 children will be born with cerebral palsy. This policy extension pays out an additional lump sum of £50,000 in the event of a diagnosis within the first three years of your baby’s life. This can be spent in any way that you wish.

For example, you could use the money to enrol your child on the Duke University cerebral palsy clinical trial in the US. This trial has had some very exciting initial results for the use of cord blood to treat cerebral palsy and other brain injuries.

Prices are inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) currently 10% in the UK together with a fee applied by Cells4Life for arrangement of your insurance policy. The arrangement fee is £15 for a one year policy and £75 for the five year policy or cerebral palsy extension.

+PROTECTExtra pays out a £50,000 lump sum in the event of a cerebral palsy diagnosis, making this trial, or others like it, a viable option for anyone, no matter their financial circumstances. Alternatively, you can choose to spend the money on whatever you like, including your child’s long-term care, or other palliative treatments.
